The Ripley Tigers and Lady Tigers competed in the second round of the North Half State Tournament on February 19. The girls played at Houston and the boys played at Corinth. The Lady Tigers rallied against the Aberdeen Lady Bulldogs. The first quarter was close, with Ripley scoring 14 points to Aberdeen’s 16. |

In what is considered by Steeler fans and commentators “the most exciting Super Bowl ever,” the Arizona Cardinals were about to stamp this game as the greatest comeback in Super Bowl history. The Cardinals were down at the end of the third quarter by 20-7 . . . 13 points; yet, in the fourth the Cardinals went on to score 16 unanswered points. |
