The 2009 year has finally come for many students who want to accomplish their new goals for the year. This year many students, from freshmans to seniors, want to make new goals for themselves from making better grades to even finding a boyfriend.
Maybe some students consider being more responsible and getting a job to make their own money this year.   Daniel Fryer, a sophomore, agreed, “My resolution for the new year is to get a job.”
Tenth grader Jamal Watts decided his resolution for New Year to consist of working hard and to get his education.  Others determined to get better grades and to do better in school were Benjamin Cook, Jalen Wilson, and Denisha Strickland.
Senior Jaquise Cook said, “To keep up my grades, make a good grade on ACT’s, pass 12th grade with honors, and be successful in Mrs. Haynes class.” Some students want to study more such as Maria Reyes.
Freshman Adrianna Cooper stated that her resolution for the 2009 “to not be on the internet longer than six hours.”
Kanesha Hill, a freshman, stated that she wants to get a car to go to school.
Junior Iesha Roberson stated, “I would like to find me a boyfriend someone to stick with.”
The Algebra 1 teacher, Anita Hood stated, “My resolution is to exercise more.” Samantha Pine, another sophomore, wants to achieve the goal in cutting down on chocolate for her New Year resolution. However, Charles Elliot’s resolution for the 2009 contrasts with Samantha Pine’s resolution in that he wants “to gain more weight.”
