The Secret Life Craze |

Many teenagers, including RHS students, have joined in “The Secret Life” craze. Sophomore Samantha McBryde stated, “I like the show because it shows something that could happen in real life, and it’s interesting to see what a girl could do in the situation.” “The Secret Life of the American Teenager” airs on ABC Family. The show, which plays weekly on Mondays at 7 pm, portrays a version of life in high school. Amy, the fifteen-year-old freshman, gets pregnant at band camp with “Bad-boy” Ricky. Her boyfriend, Ben, wants to marry her because she is pregnant, even though it’s not his baby. Other characters in the show have similar problems. Jack, the football player, cheats on his girlfriend Grace with “Bad-girl” Adrian. They break up, which sends Grace into Ricky’s arms. Meanwhile, Amy is struggling on decisions like staying in school and whether she should give the baby up for adoption. |
